Article: Perot Backers to Hear Entreaties From Bush, Clinton Camps

Ross Perot organizers from around the country gathered here today, vowing to listen with an open mind Monday to presentations from high-level Republican and Democratic delegations. But they reported strong support at the grass roots for the Dallas billionaire to resume an active campaign for the presidency.

On the eve of the extraordinary interviews Perot has arranged for his supporters with top-rank policy and political advisers to President Bush and Democratic nominee Bill Clinton, there was still no clear signal whether Perot would resume the White House effort he cut short in July.

Sharon Holman, a Perot press aide, said tonight, "I do not anticipate any kind of announcement tomorrow" ...
