The Baltimore Orioles this week watched two more pitchers
become free agents, left-handers Craig Lefferts and Pat Clements
becoming the latest team members to auction their services on the
free market.
Lefferts and Clements declared themselves free agents on
Monday, according to the Baltimore Sun.
The Orioles had declined to offer salary arbitration last week
to Lefferts or pitcher Storm Davis, which allowed both to become
free agents.
Lefferts, 35, earned $2.04 million last season but went 1-3 with
a 4.09 ERA after the Orioles acquired him in late August from San
