RECENTLY, a pipe burst in Section 18, Taman Kanagapuram in
Petaling Jaya, at 1am and the residents immediately called the
Waterworks Department to attend to the problem.
Arasu says the department, however, only sent their men to fix the
problem at 10am that day.
"Millions of gallons of water had been wasted between 1am and
10am. Why was there a delay? Can one imagine the amount of water that
is wasted around the city due to a burst pipe?"
Arasu wants to know why the department concerned does not take
immediate action to rectify the problem as soon as such a call is
received.
