KUALA LUMPUR: A giant screen will be set up at Batu Caves temple
ground to provide `live' coverage of the Thaipusam celebration next
Thursday.
The company behind this project is Aastha Internetwork Corporation
Sdn Bhd (AIC) which introduced Internet viewing of national festivals
and events three years ago.
Its chief executive officer M. Duraichelvan said the giant screen,
which is six feet by eight feet, will show the activities at the
temple.
"The temple management is expecting about 1.5 million people this
year, and it will not be easy to see the kavadi or the prayers with
the large crowd. Furthermore, we cannot be at all places at one
time," said Duraichelvan.
