Thick blood found in Canny's abdomen

SHAH ALAM: The thick formation of blood in the lower abdomen of Canny Ong, could point to the fact that she had been stabbed with a sharp object.

Yesterday, forensic pathologist Prof Dr Kasinathan Nadesan told the High Court that it was abnormal to find thick blood in the abdomen.

The witness, a professor in forensic pathology at Universiti Malaya, said he found the thick reddish "sludge" in Canny's lower abdomen cavity and pelvic areas, despite the decomposed state of the body.

At this point, DPP Noorin Badaruddin, asked the witness what could have caused the formation of such a substance.

The 30th prosecution witness replied that this could have been a result of internal bleeding.
