ADVANCE Agro pcl, Thailand's biggest publicly-traded paper maker, expects to increase its market share in Malaysia by as much as 10 per cent next year, said its executive vice-president, Charnvit Jarusombathi.

"Currently, we have a 50 per cent market share for the 80 grams paper in Malaysia," said Charnvit in his office here.

Improving the market share should not be a problem as Advance Agro, which has been marketing its products here since 2001, had been making rapid advances in the sector.

For the overall sector, Advance Agro's Double A brand controls about 18 per cent of the Malaysian market.

Last year, it recorded sales of about RM200 million.
