`MAHLIGAI Gading', an eagerly awaited new local drama series, is
based on Malaysia's multi-cultural society embedded in a primarily
Malay-centric society.
Its tale revolves around three best friends - Tan Sri Sufian Yeop
Aliff, Steven Foo and James Siva - who grew up in a kampung together
and later become influential people.
Adding colour to their stories are their families.
Mahligai Gading also aims to help speed up the process of building
a `Malaysian nation'.
It's hoped the series can bring back the glory days of RTM and
Filem Negara. These two institutions used to produce the best local
dramas and documentaries.
RTM also discovered many great talents in the business.
