KUALA LUMPUR: For one hundred underprivileged children, this year's

Merdeka Day celebration is one that they will never forget.

Thanks to 'Merdeka Rally for Humanity 2005', jointly organised by Maxis

Communications Bhd and National Press Club, and joined by a list of

corporate sponsors, the smiles were writ large on the children's faces.

The children were from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim Miskin

Klang, Tasputra Perkim, Asrama Penyayang Nur Iman, Rumah Charis and Rumah

Kebajikan Anbu Illam.

The rally, held yesterday, saw the children ferried in a convoy of 66

cars and 25 bikes from Menara Maxis to Kuala Lumpur International Airport

before ending at Palm Garden Hotel, IOI Resort in ...
