DANG WANGI: There was drama at the main block of the Kuala Lumpur
Hospital at noon yesterday when a snatch thief, his right hand in
a
plaster cast, snatched a woman's RM2,000 necklace and made a dash
for it.
A security guard chased the thief and caught him near a taxi stand
but
the necklace was missing - he is believed to have swallowed it.
The suspect, believed to be a dadah addict, was handed over to
police
and is warded at the hospital where he is expected to undergo a
series of
X-rays today.
The drama unfolded on the first floor when Sarapthy V.Kantasamy,
53,
was walking out of the X-ray department.
