MITV Corp Sdn Bhd, Malaysia's second pay-TV operator, has no
knowledge that its major shareholder, Tan Sri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun,
wants to inject the company into Nasioncom Holdings Bhd, said its
chairman Datuk Rosman Ridzwan.
Rosman's said this just hours before Tan, the controlling
shareholder of the Berjaya group of companies, informed Bursa
Malaysia that he has emerged as a substantial shareholder in
Nasioncom.
A substantial shareholder is a shareholder who owns a minimum of
five per cent of the company. Tan bought the stake from Datuk Chee
Kok Wing, the single largest shareholder in Nasioncom.
Based on the Bursa announcement, Tan now owns just under eight per
cent of Nasioncom. The ...
