The Mazda was due for an oil change and tire rotation when, as
luck would have it, a coupon covering those very same two services
arrived in the mailbox.
Something useful stuffed in the middle of all that junk mail?
Should have figured it was too good to be true.
I don't spend much time under the hood, and I suspect that
mechanics can sense it -- no matter how much I try to make it seem
like I'm a producer for "Dateline NBC."
When I play dumb, they can apparently tell I don't have to try
very hard.
So, in addition to worrying about how much change might disappear
from my cupholder, or whether they wash their hands before touching
my steering wheel, I'm always a little leery about being taken ...
