Article: Long and winding railroad: Eurostar snakes out of St Pancras on maiden trip

HISTORY was made at the new St Pancras International today as the first Eurostar train left the Pounds 800 million station precisely on time.

As the 11.06 to Brussels pulled out of the station, Eurostar chiefs hailed the successful launch of one of the coun-trys most celebrated engineering projects in years.
