Article: Arranged marriage? We want love, actually

I CELEBRATED my wedding anniversary this week in what has become a traditional way - by screaming, crying, tearing out my hair and calling my solicitor to demand to know how long before my divorce comes through.

Pop princess Britney got a quickie but mine is taking so long I could inadvertently be seen, among my circle of friends anyway, as having one of the most successful marriages going.

Forced marriage is a crime, you know, I enunciated to my mother, who was shelling peas and, therefore, had more important things on her mind.

"From what I can remember," she said wearily, tired of this annual rant, "you weren't forced to do anything and happily stocked up on make-up and shoes."
