A MUSLIM community conference described as the first of its kind
in the country is being hosted by South Yorkshire Police today in an
attempt to break down barriers between different cultures.
About 150 delegates are expected to attend, including those
representing mosques, youth groups and women, along with community
leaders and activists.
A wide range of speakers has been lined up, including the head of
the Muslim Council of Britain, Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari, the Deputy
High Commissioner for Pakistan, Abdul Basit, and Bishop of Bradford
David James.
