As the cold sets in and winter sniffles start to do the rounds,
home-made remedies are in demand.
And high on the ingredients list for many is honey.
The sticky treat is not just for spreading on your toast, it has
long been used for its medicinal properties as well as for its
taste.
Sleaford bee-keeper Ann Holderness has been involved in bee-
keeping since 1988.
"I've always seen it as a bit of an eccentric hobby but a very
fascinating one," she said.
It's also a very productive hobby with Ann and husband John
selling their honey in Sleaford Tourist Information Centre and Jason
Willis's butcher shop in the town. They also sell it at events
