Air Force senior receiver Mark Root thought about Saturday's game
at Notre Dame three years ago as a freshman.
"I remember vividly being in the locker room and looking at my
senior schedule and seeing Notre Dame," Root said. "You kind of
pinpoint that game as something you look forward to throughout your
career."
The Fighting Irish enter the 12:30 p.m. game with a 1-8 record.
It is the program's worst start in a history that dates back to
1887. But that hasn't tarnished the Falcons' opportunity to play at
Notre Dame Stadium against college football's most storied team.
