THE popular annual Iron Kids Triathlon was launched today by Derry
deputy mayor Peter Anderson at the Templemore sports complex.
The swim and run event caters for young people aged between nine
and 14.
There is a limit of 350 on entries and the event, which is being
held this year from the sports complex on Wednesday May 22, is
usually oversubscribed.
Speaking at the launch Mr Anderson said: "The Iron Kids event is a
marvellous curtain raiser to its big brother the Liam Ball triathlon.
"It is always an event I, like all the entrants, look forward to
each year.
