ONE of four self-confessed loyalist gunmen shouted out in Irish
the republican slogan "Our day will come" after being jailed for 12
years today.
The four, who admitted possessing a loaded and cocked 9mm pistol,
were being taken to the cells at Belfast Crown Court when one was
heard yelling "tiocfaidh ar la".
The outburst came shortly after Judge Kevin Finnegan QC had told
the four that "something was afoot" when caught red-handed by police
on the outskirts of Coleraine in November last year.
"Society had hoped that behaviour of this nature had been put an
end to but the court has togive long sentences for this type of
offence, " Judge Finnegan said to the four defendants.
