Article: Guzman May Work At 2B, 3B

Washington Nationals Manager Frank Robinson said he might ask shortstop Cristian Guzman to begin working out at second base and/or third base at some point this spring, in the event the team chooses to give its starting shortstop job to newly signed veteran Royce Clayton, bumping Guzman to a utility role.

"I wouldn't do that with [Guzman ] right away, because I want him to focus on the shortstop position," Robinson said. "But there may certainly come a time in spring training, if it looks like he might not be the everyday shortstop, that I would go to him and talk about working out a little bit at second base or third base. Absolutely."
