The Northern Ireland Bureau in Washington dc has the job of
capitalising on that interest and promoting the Province to
investors, tourists and Government officials. Michael McHugh talks to
the acting Director of the Bureau, Danny McNeill, about the
challenges he faces and his plans for the future
AS the Assembly's voice in the US, Danny McNeill has been coping
admirably with a daunting task.
An experienced diplomat with many years spent working in the US,
Mr McNeill is Acting Director at the NI Bureau in Washington DC.
The Bureau was first established in 1992 to represent NI's
interests in the US and was answerable to Direct Rule ministers.
