DRUG dealers from Northern Ireland are establishing international
networks to feed Ulster's increasing drug problem, police authorities
today warned.
People driven from the province by paramilitary threats or fear of
legal prosecution have established smuggling rings to supply Ulster's
drug addicts.
Others have risen in prominence to become major transnational
players and are focusing on the developing market in Northern
Ireland.
The findings were contained in a police report for the Northern
Ireland Select Affairs committee which aims to influence Government
drugs policy.
Racketeers are operating from as far afield as Spain and Holland
