HE MAY find it hard to say the war is over, but Gerry Adams sure
knows how to signal a fight is on.
During an Ard Fheis that was transparently about propelling Sinn
Fein into the European and southern local government elections next
June, Mr Adams took the gloves off against their main rivals with a
flourish.
His live televised address at teatime on Saturday was an exercise
in rounding up enemies to motivate the party and the electorate.
There were the usual suspects: the British Government, of course,
and unionists -although they exist in a sort of half-light between
being "macho", short-sighted plodders and shining partners in a
future united Ireland - but ultimately, unfailingly, there ...
