WHILE there has been a marked increase in racist attacks in
Northern Ireland, a special initiative next week will highlight work
being done to improve community relations.
Community Relations Week - Towards a Shared Future, gets under way
on April 2 and throughout the week around 70 events will take place
at venues across Northern Ireland.
Duncan Morrow, Community Relations Council chief executive, said:
"Community Relations Week is a demonstration of some of the positive
trust-building activities which take place throughout the year.
"It is hoped that it will be both a celebration of what is being
achieved and an encouragement to others to work towards the 'Shared
Future' that is possible."
