A new poll has revealed that the UK housebuying public is surprisingly ignorant about many areas of the housing market.For example 12% of those quizzed think that mortgage rates are based on savings account balances.Over one third (34%)believe that buying 'off- plan' means purchasing a property without planning permission and one in five (18%) say it means buying a property in the countryside.
