A new [Pound]9.2m arts centre is to be built in Belfast's
Cathedral Quarter.The development of the centre, featuring a 350-
seat theatre, is expected to drive the renaissance of the area as the
city's cultural hub.Culture, Arts and Leisure Minister David Hanson
said the publicly funded development would provide new purpose-built
premises for the Old Museum Arts Centre and would include a 150-seat
studio as well as increased exhibition, rehearsal and workshop
space."This momentous announcement will build on the Old Museum Arts
Centre's wonderful track record and move them on to a new level.It is
the biggest addition to the cultural heart of Belfast since the
