The DUP and Sinn Fein were today staring each other down as the clock ticked towards the conclusion of the Scottish talks summit. With the British and Irish Governments preparing to issue their own "take it or leave it" proposals, last-minute bilateral meetings were continuing at St Andrews after premiers Tony Blair and Bertie Ahern were said to have worked late into the night.
