With almost 30 years in the wine trade to his credit, Jim has
travelled the world to master the subject, literally from the ground
up. There are times when he can say, hand on heart, that he has known
a certain wine since it was a slip of a vine.
He visits
growers from continent to continent and believes that such direct
contact helps build a quality portfolio of wine to pass on to
customers.
"We deal directly with about 300 small growers," he
explains. "Our business model would be very hard for a large company
to emulate.
"Three of us in the team now travel. I'm
away three months of the year.
