The tawdry tale of deception is inspired by the real- life murder
of a 1940s Hollywood starlet. Unfortunately, the script ties itself
in knots trying to distil the book's serpentine plot.

horror is a plodding, unintentionally hilarious slice of hokum. Fans
of the controversial writer-director will despair - The Wicker Man
