Article: Etihad Airways Creates Golfing History at Abu Dhabi International Airport

Etihad Airways, the world's fastest growing airline, is used to setting records, so it is not surprising that the UAE's national airline was right behind Ryder Cup Golf stars Ian Poulter and Paul Casey's attempt to break the record for the world's longest drive from the wing of an Etihad aircraft.

The record attempt on the runway of Abu Dhabi International Airport formed part of a special events programme surrounding Etihad Airways sponsorship of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Golf Championships, and saw Poulter and Casey climb onto the wing of an Etihad Airways Boeing 767 plane for their drives.
