Article: Etihad Airways Awarded Maximum Marks in International Industry Safety Assessment

Etihad Airways, the UAE's national airline, has received top marks after undertaking the world-renowned International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).

During the week-long evaluation a team of 28 Etihad managers impressed IATA auditors with the Abu Dhabi-based airline's compliance with all of the necessary IATA standards.

"Safety and quality have always been Etihad's number one priority, and we are pleased to have achieved the IOSA standard well in advance of the 2008 IATA mandate," said Dr. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan, chairman, Etihad Airways.
