MENA equity markets continued to turn out mixed performances with
an increasing dispersion of returns between the various regional
markets. The Saudi market continues to disappoint and its 7% loss for
the month has further cemented its position as the worst performing
market in 2007. On a more positive note, the best performer of the
month was the Kuwaiti market whose 5.6% return has taken year-to-
date returns to over 20% making it the best performing market in the
MENA region. The previously high-flying North African markets of
Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco were subdued over the month with the
Moroccan market in particular suffering profit-taking, thus ...
