Article: Glen Burnie edges South River, 47-43

Having played three games in four days last week, including their first loss Saturday against Magruder, Glen Burnie's boys basketball team looked to finally have a break in its schedule yesterday against 3-6 South River.

Instead, the Seahawks gave the No. 2 Gophers all they can handle and more, leading 35-33 after three quarters, before Glen Burnie rallied for a 47-43 win in Edgewater.

"We were in a funk tonight," Glen Burnie coach Mike Rudd said. "Its always better to play awful and win than play awesome and lose."

Delayne Nelson scored a game-high 12 points, graed 11 rebounds and had two steals to lead Glen Burnie, who outscored South River 14-8 in
