When Martha and Steve Johnson were sketching plans for their home,
they decided first of all they needed a big dining room.
"We wanted one large enough to hold two tables because we knew
that one table would always be filled with craft projects or homework
and there'd be no place to eat," said Mr. Johnson.
But then a second reason for a big dining room popped into the
Johnson's design ideas. They wanted a lot of shelf space to store
their many books.
"We originally thought we would put the books in the living room,"
