The Textile Museum will hold its 27th annual Celebration of Textiles today and tomorrow. This free happening, suitable for all ages, will allow visitors to explore a world of textile arts and cultures through unique hands-on activities, artists' demonstrations, fun and games.

Today's program, presented in the museum's galleries, garden and activity center, will feature a delightful variety of experiences, including learning how to design batik textiles, making felt containers, weaving paper placemats and creating decorated tassels.

Participants also will be encouraged to try their hands at crocheting, weaving on a floor loom, and knitting and spinning wool into yarn. Expert craftsmen will ...
