In a pair of games that featured fast-breaking teams intent on running their opponents into the ground, Glen Burnie and Broadneck advanced to the finals of the High School Summer League at Lake Waterford Park Wednesday night.

Glen Burnie topped Annapolis in one semifinal, running out to a 23- 6 lead at the half before surviving some solid runs put on by the Panthers to win 49-37.

From the start, both teams tried to push the pace, but Glen Burnie's defense was spectacular in transition, forcing turnovers and turning them into points.
