Article: Bronze Age Corpse Found In Glacier

Alpine hikers have discovered the mummified body of a man believed to have been born 4,000 years ago, and archaeologists said today that the well-preserved find could add considerably to understanding of human existence in the Bronze Age.

A German couple stumbled upon the corpse in a glacier last weekend while hiking at an altitude of about 10,000 feet in the Oetztaler section of Austria's Tyrol province near the Italian border. The man's head and one shoulder were sticking out of the ice, and he was surrounded by an array of weaponry.
