Q. We bought our house three years ago and have concerns about the
insulation in our crawl space. The batt insulation has started to
fall down in several areas and sag in others. I'm concerned that it
will keep falling down even if we keep putting it back up. I saw a
home show where foam insulation was used between interior walls of a
house. Would this work in a crawl space in place of batt insulation?
A. The falling insulation is talking to you and its telling you
that the crawl space is damp, and if you don't do something about it
soon you'll have bigger problems. Any home doing this regardless of
age concerns me but its not too late to get a handle on it.
