A contractor will begin cleaning up mold in all four courtrooms at
the District Court building in Glen Burnie next week.
The mold was found after employees noticed an unpleasant odor
about two months ago and some complained of cold-like symptoms, said
Administrative Judge James W. Dryden.
"It sort of comes and goes," Judge Dryden said of the mildew-like
odor.
To allow court operations to continue, only one courtroom at a
time will be closed beginning from Monday through Wednesday.
Each will take about a month to clean, and the project will cost
an estimated $100,000, according to the Department of General
