Article: Away we go: The fabric of our lives

The Textile Museum will hold its 27th annual Celebration of Textiles on Saturday and June 5. This free happening, suitable for all ages, will allow visitors to explore a world of textile arts and cultures through unique hands-on activities, artists' demonstrations, fun and games.

Saturday's program, presented in the museum's galleries, garden and activity center, will feature a delightful variety of experiences, including learning how to design batik textiles, making felt containers, weaving paper placemats and creating decorated tassels.
