Whether it's called "soul food" or "comfort food," the blending
together of cooked macaroni and its favorite companion, cheese,
continues to be an American dish of choice.
Barbara Butler of Annapolis said that macaroni and cheese is
ALWAYS on the menu for her big family dinners as well as for every
church gathering where a meal is served.
"That's black soul food," she said. "And we always make it from
scratch."
She went on to say that she has never bought a box of packaged
macaroni and cheese.
