After a week of all things sailboating, City Dock has been cleared
for those who like a little oomph in their nautical excursions.
Frank Larsen was craving seagulls-in-your-teeth speed Thursday,
drooling over Donzi's 43-foot speedboat - capable of 100 mph out of
the box - at the 35th annual U.S. Powerboat Show. The Crownsville man
had just sold his power boat and was fine-tuning his wish list for a
new model.
"Speedboats can cut through the waves better on the bay," he said
gazing wistfully at the $450,000 needle-shaped, blue-and-white hull.
The speedboats, in vivid red, blue and purple motifs, were eye-
catchers amid the stately white yachts and polished teak trawlers,
