A growing entertainment district spreading out from downtown is giving musicians more stages from which to serenade Annapolis' increasingly diverse population.

And two businesses in particular are blazing the way for a new generation of venues.

Whiskey 1803, a large new club on outer West Street has been selling out shows since it opened Thanksgiving weekend. And Tsunami, an inner West Street sushi restaurant, is looking to add a musical component in close proximity to the area's premiere stage - The Ram's Head Tavern.
