Article: City Dock swimming proposed by Moyer

On top of trash, ducks and the occasional kayak, boaters could have a new obstacle when maneuvering around City Dock - human bodies.

Mayor Ellen O. Moyer is expected to present a bill at tomorrow's City Council meeting to allow swimming in the City Dock area. City code currently prohibits any swimming from Market Space to within 150 feet of Susan B. Campbell Park.

But if some people are looking to swim regularly in Ego Alley, Harbormaster Ric Dahlgren said they can look elsewhere.
