Article: City Dock triathlon plan raises questions

What do you get when you want to swim 1.5 kilometers, bike 40 and run 10 in Annapolis? More than three hours of debate at a City Council meeting.

More than 30 people last night spoke in favor of and against a proposed lease of City Dock property for the first Annapolis Triathlon, scheduled for Sept. 9.

Sponsored by the Annapolis Triathlon Club, the event would feature 1,500 athletes swimming, bicycling and running on a course taking them through downtown.
