Article: 'Arizona Highways' editor announces abrupt resignation

Arizona Highways editor Peter Aleshire resigned May 2 on what he and publisher Win Holden described as good terms.

No specific reason was given for Aleshire's departure.

But Aleshire said: "The publisher and I were not really meshed."

"This is very amiable," Holden said. "There's nothing contentious or anything else about it."

Holden wanted to bring somebody else into the job, Aleshire said.

"He had another editor that became available, and he decided to make a change," Aleshire said.

The resignation, he added, was "sort of by mutual agreement."

Aleshire announced his resignation the day before he stepped down.
