Two former U.S. attorneys for Western Missouri will testify today
before the Senate Judiciary Committee about how voter fraud affected
the Justice Department's decisions to hire and fire federal
prosecutors.
The committee will first question Bradley Schlozman, interim U.S.
attorney and a senior official in the Civil Rights Division of the
Justice Department, about his role in hiring career attorneys into
the voting and appellate sections of the civil rights division, Sen.
Patrick Leahy, chairman of committee, said in a statement last month.
Leahy wants Schlozman to answer allegations that candidates were
chosen based on their political loyalties.
