Article: Report: Per diem being misused?

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Fifteen Wisconsin lawmakers took per diem pay intended to cover living expenses while working in Madison on days they had also used campaign funds to pay some of those same expenses, according to a newspaper report.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said in its Sunday edition that Assembly Speaker Mike Huebsch, R-West Salem, took a per diem on six days he had also used his campaign account for hotel rooms in Madison. It said that, after he was asked about them, Huebsch said he would reimburse the state $528.
