Another day, another delay for the Angels.
After rain held up the start of Saturday's game, Seattle again
kept the Angels' champagne on ice.
The Angels failed to clinch the American League West, losing to
the Seattle Mariners, 3-2, in front of 43,583 disappointed fans at
Angel Stadium.
The Angels' magic number remains at one, as they wasted a strong
start by Bartolo Colon, who returned from a back injury and allowed
just three runs in eight innings.
The Angels will try again today to clinch their third division
title in the last four years when they send John Lackey to the mound
at 12:35 p.m. He'll oppose former Angel Jeff Weaver.
