REDLANDS - Two men are in custody this morning after being caught
with a cash register stolen Sunday from a restaurant in the 600 block
of East Redlands Boulevard, according to police.
Two black men wearing baseball caps and bandanas over their faces
entered Alvaro's Mexican Food shortly after 10:30 p.m., according to
reports. One of the man had a handgun, witnesses told police.
The store was robbed of its cash register and a customer was
robbed of a wallet before the men fled the store on foot, headed
toward Clark Street, according to reports.
Sgt. John Moore headed off a car near Orange Street for a traffic
stop.
