Barbara Hook was honored with this year's Rose of Sharon Award at
the First Congregational Church Women's Fellowship Christmas Rose
Breakfast Dec. 6 in Kimberly Hall.
In presenting the award, last year's recipient, Margaret Sheeley,
noted that Hook was a "worker whenever needed" for Women's
Fellowship. She grew up in Redlands, attended the University of
Redlands and worked in the university's registrar's office.
The Arrowhead Christian Academy Kerygma Select Choir presented the
program of Christmas music under the direction of Nancy Gilmore.
The choir name is Greek for "Praise to the Lord." Their selections
included a Ukrainian Christmas carol, "Peace, Peace/Silent Night,"
